Fun rhyming children’s picture books
By me, for silly kids of all ages.
Alan is my long name but all my friends call me Al. I especially like being cheeky, making people laugh and making things rhyme.
I first invented Silly Kids to amuse my little nephew and other children we knew. I haven’t been a child for a while now but I still love creating imaginary friends and deciding what they get up to.

My friend Peter saw my rhyming stories and suggested we turn them into illustrated children’s picture books and let everyone into Silly Kids world. Luckily, he is also a designer with his own agency and so before long Unruly Julie and Clever Trevor came to life in pictures as well as words.

My wife Mrs Al is also part of the Silly Kids Team. She is a primary teacher and absolutely loves working with children. She understands how young minds work and what inspires them. No story I write is complete without her seal of approval.
I’ve spent much of my life writing creatively as a job. I’ll let you into a secret though. It’s much more fun as a passion and a hobby. I hope Silly Kids become your friends too.
